1. What is ShortStop?
ShortStop is dedicated to the development and
maintenance of the industry’s largest national network of clinics for the purpose
of matching clinic services to meet individual companies’ drug testing and
occupational health testing needs.
2. How many clinics do you have in your network?
We contract with over 10,000 collection sites in our national network, most with
signed pricing agreements on file. Many of these are qualified to perform urine
collections, breath alcohol testing and physical exams under DOT guidelines. We
also have approximately 200 Canadian locations and several International
locations available to meet our clients’ needs.
Have a test outside these areas? We can handle that too, any test, anytime, where
you need it.
3. What can ShortStop offer my company?
ShortStop has the ability to locate and set up collection sites to service your
company’s drug testing needs. Cost effective collection sites enable us to offer
your company one fixed price nationally for urine drug test collections and breath
alcohol testing. We are also able to offer your company consolidated billing. In
addition, you have the added benefit of our premium services, our One-to-One
program and EmergYtest our Post Accident/Emergency program.
4. What is Consolidated Billing?
Because the collection sites bill ShortStop, ShortStop is able to consolidate all the
required services into one bill. You have one consolidated bill for your drug and
alcohol testing program that includes the donors’ names, social security or
employee numbers, dates of service, types of service, location of collection and
your agreed to fixed national price. This service eliminates the need for your
company to handle numerous clinic bills monthly.
5. What clinic services does ShortStop’s service cover?
The ShortStop clinic network specializes in urine drug test collections for both
regulated and non-regulated programs, breath alcohol testing, DOT and preemployment
physicals and hair test collections. We have also set up networks of
clinics for specialized company physicals, saliva alcohol testing and blood draws.
6. What is your One-to-One program?
Our One-to-One program was developed to assist companies that
hire nationally, but don’t have enough volume of collections in any one area to warrant the set-up
of an established collection site. A One-to-One set-up is initiated by the
customer, contacting ShortStop and supplying the details pertaining to the service
need (i.e. what location is desired, type of testing needed, etc.). ShortStop then
proceeds to identify a collection site to service the particular donor. Specific
protocol instructions are relayed to the collection site via phone and fax.
ShortStop acts as the communicator in this process, coordinating the collection
process between the donor and the collection site. Management of the entire
process in this fashion reduces the chance of mishandled collections and lost
specimens.
7. What is EmergYtest, the Post-Accident/Emergency program?
EmergYtest, was developed to assist DOT regulated companies in fulfilling DOT requirements.
It was later expanded to include any company's emergency testing needs. EmergYtest is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week simply by calling our 800 number.
8. My company is non-regulated, but we’re looking at doing ‘reasonable
suspicion’ testing. Do you have a program to meet our needs?
ShortStop’s Post-Accident/Emergency program, EmergYtest, is a program that is
specifically designed to cover testing that needs to be done immediately. Nonregulated
companies that require testing based on company policy will be treated
with the same urgency as any regulated collection.
9. To access any of ShortStop’s programs do we need to use a
specified lab and MRO?
No. ShortStop works with all labs and MRO’s. We do not require our clients to
use specific labs or MRO’s in order to access our programs.
10. How do I know what programs are best suited to my company’s needs?
To get more information about which ShortStop programs will work best for you,
simply call the Sales Department at 800-257-9570 between the hours of 7:30 a.m.
and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday CST for more information.
